ATTENTION GETTERS
¡Hola educapeople!👋🏻
Hoy os traigo un recurso que lleva varios años estando muy presente en mis clases y que funciona a las mil maravillas para la ayudarnos con la gestión de aula. 👩🏽🏫
Como sabéis muchas veces nos cuesta captar la atención de nuestro alumnado cuando queremos explicar alguna cosa o después de haber acabado alguna actividad.
🎙️Así que para que podáis mantener vuestra voz toda la semana tenemos estos attention getters que a nuestro alumnado les resultan súper motivadores.
Si no sabéis a lo que me refiero, es muy sencillo. 👌🏻 Cuando queremos atraer la atención de nuestro alumnado comenzaremos una frase y ellos tendrán que acabarla para inmediatamente guardar silencio y estar atentos a lo que el profesor tiene que decir.
Como por ejemplo: “Hocus Pocus” moviendo una varita mágica y que tus alumnos se pongan en sus ojos unos prismáticos imaginarios hechos con sus manitas y contesten “Everybody focus!”.
En el caso de mi aula los tenemos en un
rincón como apoyo visual para que puedan recordar cada una de las contestaciones. Además, como habéis podido observar siempre los acompañamos de gestos para que nos sea más divertido y lo asimilen mejor.
¿Por qué utilizamos varios y no solo uno? Porque de esta manera sorprendemos con el attention getter al alumnado y es más complejo perder su efectividad.

Today I bring you a resource that has been very present in my classes for several years and that works wonders for helping us with classroom management. 👩🏽🏫
As you know, we often find it difficult to capture the attention of our students when we want to explain something or after we have finished an activity.
🎙️Así so that you can keep your voice all week we have these attention getters that our students find very motivating.
If you don't know what I mean, it's very simple. 👌🏻 When we want to attract the attention of our students we will start a sentence and they will have to finish it and immediately keep silent and pay attention to what the teacher has to say.
For example: "Hocus Pocus" by waving a magic wand and have your students put imaginary binoculars made with their little hands over their eyes and answer "Everybody focus!
In my classroom, we have them in the corner as a visual
corner as a visual support so that they can remember each of the answers. In addition, as you can see, we always accompany them with gestures to make it more fun and help them assimilate them better.
Why do we use several and not just one? Because in this way we surprise the students with the attention getter and it is more difficult to lose its effectiveness.
