VALENTINES' DAY COMPLIMENTS

¡Hola educapeople! 💖

Como no, mis alumnos han decidido por unanimidad celebrar San Valentín 🥰. Así que aquí está la teacher maquinando para ver qué haremos esa semana.

Hoy os traigo una de las actividades que realizaremos. No sé si lo sabéis, pero en EEUU y UK celebran San Valentín en las escuelas fabricando unas cajas decoradas (mailboxes) con el nombre de cada uno de ellos, en estas los alumnos meten cumplidos a sus compañeros y les suelen dejar algún dulce 🍫🍪

En mi mente estaba Ralph dándole la carta de “Eres muy chu-chu-chuli” a Lisa y mi lado friki ha querido incluir la frase en el recurso 🤭

Me parece una buena dinámica que nuestros alumnos dediquen unos minutos en colorear estos cumplidos para agradecer a sus compañeros su amistad.

Además, estos cumplidos contienen frases graciosas que van a hacer que nuestros alumnos piensen en el significado de estas y que profundicen un poco más tanto en la cultura de la lengua inglesa como que conozca su sentido del humor 😜

Siempre uso esta festividad para fomentar el amor propio y que fortalezcan la relación con sus compañeros.

Of course, my students have unanimously decided to celebrate Valentine's Day 🥰. So here is the teacher scheming to see what we will do that week.

Today I bring you one of the activities we will do. I don't know if you know it, but in the USA and UK they celebrate Valentine's Day in schools by making decorated boxes (mailboxes) with the name of each one of them, in these the students put compliments to their classmates and they usually leave them some sweets 🍫🍪.

In my mind was Ralph giving the letter "You're so choo-choo choo" to Lisa and my geeky side wanted to include the phrase in the resource 🤭🤭🤪

I think it's a good dynamic for our students to spend a few minutes colouring these compliments to thank their classmates for their friendship 🫂

In addition, these compliments contain funny phrases that will make our students think about the meaning of these phrases, and they will deepen their understanding of the culture of the English language as well as their sense of humour 😜

I always use this holiday to encourage self-esteem and to strengthen relationships with their peers.
